Dates for the Diary 2018

GNK have finally confirmed the following dates for 2018

10 March 2018 - HR Masters Invitational Stroke Play Tournament (for handicaps max 18 excl the slope)

11 March 2018 - the Rowley Cup Team Event

The first drafts of the teams for both days are now available here.  There are places on Saturday available for players with handicaps of 18 or less - get in touch asap if you want to play.

The Rowley Cup is now FULLY booked with 108 entries!  There may be cancellations so any further bookings will be held on a reserve list.

15 September 2018 - Margaret Daniels Trophy - Individual Stableford Tournament

Rules Governing Our Tournaments

Please note that following the AGM in March we are tightening our rules on handicaps and entry to the tournaments.

Only members of HR Golf Society can win the trophies.  We are having regular players who live on Corvera, Mar Menor, Sucina etc – they are also members of our society therefore are eligible to win the trophies.  Member’s guests however can only win the Visitors trophy.

A new member must have a HR handicap before they can enter our tournaments (ie have played 3 games with us) – alternatively they must produce a handicap certificate from their home club.

The Masters tournament in March is an invitational tournament limited to our lower handicap golfers – ie with a home handicap of 18 maximum.  We will then add the relevant slope index.

Weekly Matches

Monday 12 February Play List

The weekly Society game is held on Mondays at Hacienda Riquelme. We usually play individual stableford but if we know you are coming - and we have enough numbers - we can arrange a team game!

Don't forget if you are planning to join us you can sign up by using the on-line form - we look forward to seeing you!

BUT - There seems to be a tendency for players to leave it to the last minute before putting their names in the sheet in the Pro Shop!  Unfortunately we cannot get extra tee times at the last minute, should we need them. Please register to play as soon as you know you are available, either via the website or with the Pro Shop.

Similarly if you put your name down and cannot play for some reason - LET US KNOW! It is very ill-mannered to simply not turn up - and upsets your fellow golfers - your neighbours!
